(2/2/1928 – 3/24/2025)

Grace Christine Bowen, 97, of the Jupiter community went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 24, 2025. She was born Thursday, February 2, 1928.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Jupiter Baptist Church, Jupiter Road, Braxton MS. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10:00 am at Jupiter Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Jupiter Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Danny Powell will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgie Wesley Bowen; son, Wesley Bowen; daughter, Christie Bowen; father, Alonzo Coleman; mother, Bonnie Sullivan Coleman; brothers, William Coleman and Bruce Coleman; sisters, Fannie Lou Welch and Agnes Powell.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Wayne Bowen (Beverly) and Freddie Bowen (Linda ); daughter-in-law, Linda Bowen; grandchildren, Eric Bowen (Dawn), Brian Bowen (Casey), Brett Bowen (Lindy), Stephanie Duffey (Harry), Bandalye Bowen (Jennett), Cammice Wilson, Stacey Rawls (Jeremy), Brandy Tanksley (Tanner), Cody Bowen (Brandi) and Will Craft (Sarah-Bailey); 21 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Eric Bowen, Brian Bowen, Brett Bowen, Will Craft, Brandon Bowen, and Austin Bowen.

The family would like to thank the staff at Strong River Villa for the excellent care they provided for Mrs. Grace.
