The word of today, of course, is freezing! Today brings our first full freeze of the year…and I don’t doubt it one bit! When the “climate” changes a little this morning and the sun peaks out…I’ll take a picture of my dead potato vines (makes me sad…but this signals winner to me!)

$1,300 was given at the Community Wide Thanksgiving Service for City of Magee Transient Fund. According to Transient Fund director, Diane McPhail, $1.300 is the largest amount ever given. “We appreciate the money donated by the community…the money is used to help people in need who pass through our city and require assistance.” Although $1,300 is a record breaker, additional funds are needed. To donate to the fund, make your check out to Magee Transient Fund and take to the Magee Police Department or Diane at Simpson County Medical Supply. (She takes cash too!!!!!)
