Special prayer for Joyce Walker (wife of Paul Walker…she worked for Joe Lee Insurance for years…taught SS at FBC to 4/5 year olds for years) is in ICU in Hattiesburg Hospital.
Joyce is very sick…her family needs our prayers. Please add Joyce to your prayer list.
I visited with Tommy Everett at MGH yesterday and he put his hearing aids in…so we could talk. He is eating well. I felt much better about his condition after yesterday’s visit. He is in room 146 if anyone has a few minutes to visit.
Community Thanksgiving Worship Service: Sunday, November 22, at First Baptist Church at 5:00 p.m. everyone in the community is invited. At the service, an offering is taken for the City of Magee Transient Fund. Diane McPhail is in charge of the fund for the city. These offerings are well spent…people who are stranded on the highway…people in our city who have immediate needs…Along with the police, Diane diligently works to be a missionary for Magee. The fund is supported by the donations received at the Community Thanksgiving Service. Rev. Tommy Jennings of First United Methodist Church will conduct the service. Lance Word of FBC is in charge of the music. If you cannot attend the service, donations may be taken to the Magee Police Department.
It’s Christmas time in the city…which means the Christmas parades. Mendenhall’s parade will be Tuesday, December 1st. Magee’s Christmas parade is Thursday beginning at 6 PM. (register by the 23rd). The theme for the Magee Parade is “It’s Christmas.”

Mission Center at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church in the Martinville area (follow the signs) will be open Friday and Saturday with great deals (50 cents and up) on clothing and other items. Please pass this info about the sale. The prices are unbelievable…the Mission Center is a place where anyone can be clothed for a small amount of money.
I’m just saying, I know I am glad I live in Magee and not Jackson after two murders last night! Scary.
Don’t forget if you are cleaning out or shopping pick up something for the Christmas Store at FBC that will be open on Saturday, December 5th. Toys, clothing, and food are needed…reach deep!
The NAPA Tool Truck will be in Magee at Central Auto Parts (the NAPA store)….come enjoy free food…great deals…and interesting displays.
