The word for today seems to be FOG!!!! Watch out…be careful…I think we are going to have a beautiful day once the sun starts its burn!

I have mentioned the Adoption Meeting at FBC almost everyday…so don’t forget…Thursday…6:30 PM at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church of Magee. Again, the meeting is an opportunity to hear a “fireball” speaker who brings a ton of info about adoption and helping others…if you have ever even considered adoption or you’re just curious…this is the meeting for you!

Are you cleaning out closets…getting rid of stuff… well, your stuff is needed by the youth and adults preparing for the Christmas Shop at FBC in Magee. The Christmas Shop is a free shopping spot for the needy during the holidays. Susan Hall has worked with this project since the beginning. Immediate needs are:
Children’s clothes
Coats
Blankets
New toys and
Non perishable food items
We love monetary donations!
We promise to spend wisely!!
Please give so others may have (according to Susan)
Gently worn clothing for all ages is needed…kitchen items, linens, …food, food, food…toys, toys, toys (bikes).
Items may be left at the Family Life Center of FBC.
The Christmas Store will open at 8 AM on Saturday, December 5th. Please “dig deep.”

Update on Tommy Everett: I visited Tommy at MGH Wednesday. He is progressing…but he doesn’t have his hearing aids in….which means he REALLY can’t hear …visiting is difficult but worth the loud talking. I think if you can’t even visit…send a card to the hospital. I came away very sad…I will not offend anyone by saying…sometimes aging is the pits… Company does not need to stay long…because he does not feel particularly well…I just think he needs to know we care. Personally, I think he needs a little maroon and white for his room! Prayers are needed and appreciated!

There will be no garbage collection by the City of Magee Sanitation Department on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 26,2015 and Friday, November 27, 2015.
Regular garbage routes will resume on Monday, November 30, 2015.

Prayers and blessings to the families beginning their vacation of the Thanksgiving break…seems to be many are heading to Disney World or deer camp!

The Christmas lights and huge tree are sparkling in downtown Magee…also don’t miss the beautiful tree in the Ural Everett park…the glow at night is beautiful! Thanks to our city crew for putting the sparkle in downtown Magee!

I visited Corinth Baptist Church Wednesday to witness the packing of the Shoeboxes to be shipped overseas. What a blessing. If you have not participated in this activity, it’s not to late…Operation Christmas Child will accept packed boxes or items until 6 pm Friday. If information is needed, contact Sue@mageenews.com.

The City Thanksgiving Service is Wednesday night at FBC with Bro Tommy from First United Methodist Church leading the service. Everyone is invited…more details to come

Have a great day…looks like NAPA will have perfect weather for the grand re-opening and the huge tool truck!
Blessings,
