My heart is breaking for so many families as they bury and prepare to bury loved ones. Losing family and friends is always difficult…but I feel during holiday time…it is even more difficult…never again will a holiday be the same for these people…Holidays often make our hearts happy…but also these same days can bring a hurt and emptiness to our life. I so often think of what could have been…what would have been if these special people were still alive….When my thoughts and feelings start sinking…I look toward Heaven…thank God for the birth of His son…and know that through God’s love I can face another holiday…another day…and learn to go forward with my life! My prayers are with everyone suffering during this time.

A Rivalry That Runs Deep

A Rivalry That Runs Deep

Update on Tommy Everett: Tommy is staying with his daughter Susan in Flowood for at least another week. He is doing better and able to “get around” fairly well.

Mrs. Jimmie Duckworth is home from the hospital just in time to “light up” the neighbor hood with her beautiful tree!

The area schools are hosting there holiday Christmas programs! Wonderful!!! We have talented teachers and students!

I love looking at Christmas decorations! If you know of a place I should visit, please send me the information! I am going to began posting some “must see” in the Magee and Simpson County area…and I need your input!
If you are like me, I tend to travel the same areas every day…I want to see the entire county! Two places you need to check out: located on 1st Avenue SW on the small street that runs from the railroad track to the side of the Entergy building is a small gingerbread type house decorated in full lights! That street is very narrow…so if you visit…be careful…but the house is worth the drive…I love how the house lights up the entire street and surrounding apartments.
David and Sandra Stewart have the most beautiful naivety scene in their “back –side” yard. The Stewart home is located on the road that goes between old and new 49 (near the Poolside Motel (I guess that is what the name is)…I know I am a terrible direction giver…I’ll try to do better. The naivety scene is breathtaking. (I’ll try to find out the name of that road!)
Email or text your suggestions: Email Sue@mageenews.com or text to 601-310-6881

Have a wonderful time…and tell someone you love them…sometimes words are all they will get that day!

Merry Christmas,

Sue the prez
