The countdown to Christmas is getting serious!!! …there are just not too many days left to complete that shopping list. I am one who waits…and yes I pay the price…not only in dollars but time! Who has time this close to holiday parties, family gatherings, cooking, etc…to spend hours “on line shopping”…only to find…”your product will not arrive before December 25th”…but that is when I need the product!!! Shopping local is great…the businesses are willing to help…even gift wrap…it’s me who cannot “make up my mind” on what to give…it’s not like I didn’t have 12 month to be thinking about this day. If you are in my shoes, all I can say is get moving!
Several activates are scheduled for the Magee Library today. Thursday at 6 is the walk class and the Polar Express Party begins at 5:30.

The First Baptist Church Day Care will host a Christmas party and performance in the sanctuary of FBC beginning at 6:30. The public is invited to enjoy the sounds of Christmas presented by young children!

Thursday is the last day of school for most children in Simpson County. I have access to a scanner that follows happenings in the county including the “bus driver talk.” Early, Thursday morning, I heard a “Ho Ho Ho” and “Merry Christmas” as the drivers cranked up for the day! God bless our bus drivers…they move precious cargo…sometimes with not enough help…and not enough cooperation…I pray every morning for the drivers and children. To me, bus drivers are an unsung hero!
