The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Romans 2:4: “God’s kindness leads you toward repentance.” The early apostle knew God intimately from the moment of conversion and became an early promoter of the precepts of Jesus Christ. He dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel to all people in an effort to further the kingdom of God. Repentance is key if one wishes to accept God’s free gift of salvation. God’s kindness was already evident in the lives of Christians, serving as an example for potential converts. As is often said, “Most people had much rather ‘see’ a sermon than ‘listen’ to one.” Let us, therefore, be on guard so we’ll not be a stumbling block to one who might be struggling with his/her spirituality. Amen!
