God is the potter, and we, His creation, are the clay.

The Lord is my light and my salvation

Trust in the Lord with all your heart.

The Scriptural passage for today is found in Romans 9:21: “Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?” We know that God is the potter, and we, His creation, are the clay. He shapes and molds us as He sees fit. Some are equipped for distinction in one area while others are fashioned for other areas of service. We each have a purpose, be it great or small in the eyes of man. To God, however, we are all equal, yet set apart for our various roles in furthering His kingdom here on earth. What is yours? Is it exalted or common? It shouldn’t matter. Let us always remember that little is much when God is in it. I do love that timeless hymn: “In the harvest fields now ripened, there’s a work for all to do. Hark the voice of God is calling, to the harvest calling you. Little is much when God is in it. Labor not for wealth or fame. There’s a crown, and you can win it, if you go in Jesus’ name. When the conflict here is ended, and our race on earth is done. He will say if we are faithful, ‘welcome home, my child, well done.’ Little is much when God is in it. Labor not for wealth or fame. There’s a crown, and you can win it, if you go in Jesus’ name.” Thank you, Jesus, for being the Master Potter. Amen!
