The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Romans 15:4: “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” The apostle drives home to the early Christians and new converts the importance of the Word of God and His precepts. All has been written for our edification and instruction and to give us hope beyond this existence. God has plans for His children, for those who accept and place their trust in Him. Never underestimate the vital role of Scripture in the life of the Christian. Read your BIBLE often, commit verses to memory, and call upon them often for comfort and assurance. Jesus loves us. All He asks is that we love Him in return, follow Him, and rely on Him for strength and endurance.
