By James Davis
The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Romans 5:8: “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Yesterday, Easter Sunday, commemorated the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We heard in our morning church services of this marvelous news. We, likewise, were told that it was because of God’s great love for mankind that He sent His only Son to die for the sins of all. It was the ultimate expression of love and selfless sacrifice, but that was not the end of the story. No, it was the resurrection from the dead and Jesus’ return to be with His Father which we Christians must never forget, because it was through the resurrection that God’s great love became complete. We now have a chance to have eternal life with God. Let’s never forget this great act of love for us. Thank you, Jesus! Thank you, God! Today, as we go about our routine, let’s be sure to share with others love, joy, and kindness. We should be willing to give back to God what He imparts and shares so freely with us.
Happy Monday!
