The Scriptural passage for today is found in Romans 5:8: “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This is a beautiful verse, so simple, yet direct. There is no greater love. God, the Father, loves mankind, His creation, so much so that He sent His only Son to die a cruel death so that we might be saved from our sinful nature. Let us never forget that it was that single act of love which gives us hope beyond the present to life eternal. The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God.
