The Scriptural passage for today is found in 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” This is a somewhat difficult verse for me; yet, we are admonished to give thanks to God in all situations. We mortals cannot comprehend the mind of the Lord, however. We obey His Word by faith, trusting Him to keep His promises. We know His Word is true and infallible. Therefore, as hard as it might be at times, let us be faithful and give thanks, knowing God has a purpose and plan for us as we make our way on this earthly journey. Lord, lead me on from day to day.

We have yet another chance today to spread the love, joy, and kindness with others. Let’s do so gladly with the knowledge that we are emulating Jesus as he mixed and mingled with people during his earthly ministry. Think about it.
