I am not a cook!!!  I enjoy baking and can prepare several dishes…but I am not one that my children rave about my cooking.  I am positive I took after my mother!  She could cook about 6-8 dishes.  We had bar-b-que chicken every holiday…and it was fabulous!  She made a wonderful cake and cookie.  She was the pimento cheese queen!  My sister did not take after my mother!  She can cook anything and is a magnificent cook.  I am always looking for “easy” recipes to impress and make up for my lack of cooking skills.

This past weekend, I found a recipe.  Cameral Cobbler!

I am sharing with ya’ll because I am sure there some other “cooks” out there are always looking for an easy and delicious dessert.

Cameral Cobbler

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 1/2 cups self rising flour

1 1/2 cups sugar

3/4 milk

1 t. Vanilla

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

1 1/2 cups hot water

(The recipe is very much like a peach or blueberry cobbler)

Preheat over to 350 degrees

In a 9X13 pan place butter and melt

In mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, milk, and vanilla

Stir to combine

Pour over melted butter and do not stir

Sprinkle brown sugar over batter

Add hot water slowly and do not stir

Bake until golden brown (about 25 minutes—will be shaky but sill firm up)

Serve warm with cool whip, or ice cream, or whipped topping

Impress your family!  I hope you enjoy!  Please feel free to share your fabulous easy recipes with me!

Have a great day!
