Gertrue L. Bynum, 81, Mendenhall, passed from this life on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Magee General Hospital in Magee, MS.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bynum will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery in Mendenhall, with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel in Magee.

Mrs. Bynum was born Sunday, May 6, 1934 in Magee, MS. She was a teacher for Simpson County Schools in Mendenhall for 38 years. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Mendenhall.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Weathersby (Steve), Mendenhall, son Mike Bynum (Wanda), Mendenhall, , grandchildren Michael Bynum Jr. (Serena), Becky Riley (Norman) Adrian Turner (Matt), Tara Weathersby, great grandchildren Austin Bynum, Micah Bynum, Makala Bynum, Ivy Bynum, Hunter Riley, and Izzy Riley, brother -Sidney “Buster” Lucky, Magee.
She is preceded in death by parents Sidney Fount Lucky, Jr. and Delitha Lucky, husband of 40 years J.M. Bynum, brothers Wilk Lucky and Wesley “Bilbo” Lucky,
