George Wilton Keys, 87 of Mendenhall, MS passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. He was born Saturday, July 6, 1935 in Jones County, Mississippi.

  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. A graveside service will follow in Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary, MS. Bro. Jacob McKenzie will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Dearman  Keys;  parents, Archie  and Estelle Keys;  grandchildren, Jared  Keys and Christina  Thomas;  brothers, Houston  Keys, Hillman  Keys, Lathell  Keys and Alton  Keys;  mother-in-law, Tressie  Dearman;  son-in-law, Jimmy  Sullivan.

  Survivors include his son, George Keys, Jr.  (Carol ) of Naples, Florida; daughters, Gwen  Callahan  (Steve ) of Mendenhall, MS, Becky  Toxey  (Gary ) of Clanton, Alabama and Theresa  Sullivan  of Mendenhall, MS;  grandchildren, Rhonda  Thompson, Mark  Tutor  (Mary), Les  Manning, Brian  Manning  (Laura), Jamie  Sullivan, Nicole  Smith, Melissa  Hancock  (Lucas ), Cameron  Sullivan  (Kayla ), Morgan  Bangerter (Andy), Anna Thomas, and Will  Thomas; and ahost of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jimmie  Keys  of Florence , MS;  special friend, Lynda  King; and host of nieces and  nephews.
