Geneva Sue Bynum, 82, of Mize, passed from this life Tuesday at MS Care Center in Raleigh. She was born Tuesday, July 26, 1938.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 9, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. The Burial will follow in Calvary Presbyterian Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Ms. Bynum was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She loved her family and had a heart for others. She loved Southern Gospel Music and reading God’s Word. She was a wonderful cook and loved to make sure anyone visiting never left hungry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Sarah Thornton.
Survivors include husband of 63 years, James Bynum; Children: Lisa Bryant (Bobby) and Kerry Bynum (Cassie); Grandchildren: Austin Bryant (Mekayla), Jacob Bryant, Zachary Bryant, Jamie Bynum and Ashlyn Bynum; Great-granddaughter: Grace Bryant; Sister: Elaine Thornton; Sister-in-law: Nell Tyrone; Uncle: Foy Killingsworth; Aunt: Gracie Ratcliff and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family request that memorials be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church, 9370 SCR 503 South, Magee, MS 39111.
