Gary McNair passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born on March 24, 1953, to Sam McNair and Annie Marie Cook McNair in Magee, MS.

Gary retired from working after thirty-six years at Georgia Pacific. He was a simple man that took pleasure in taking care of his family. When he was able, he loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his wife of over forty-three years, Margaret McCain McNair; sons, Donnie McNair, Tim Carmichael (Laurie), Terry Carmichael (Gia); daughters, Tammy Lyons (Howdy), Tracy Stewart (Terry); sister, Diane Wigley; grandchildren, Krissy McNair, Brent McNair, Zachary Lyons, Hunter Carmichael, Cassie Miller, Deanna Fortado (James), Emily Harris (Jake), Dusty Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Kennedy Reese and Blaykleigh Raine.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Marie McNair and his siblings, Jimmy McNair, John McNair, Gene McNair, Pat McNair, Howard McNair and Joyce Love.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS at 2:00 PM. with visitation from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Bro. Jason Webb will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery.
