While passing through Selma, Alabama, Dickey’s family and I made a pit stop at a gas station. I’m always looking through and for unusual food items. I spotted “G MOMMAS” Simply Good Buttascoth oatmeal cookies! The Southern style bite size cookies are delicious and made in Selma, AL. The All natural, no preservatives, small batch baked cookies are made with real “Butter.” The Oatmeal Butter Scotch is a perfect blend of real butterscotch, a touch of cinnamon , and of course “real butta” baked to a crispy perfection.
The story goes…the inspiration behind these cookies is grandmother, Ance “Grammy” Armstrong. A true woman of the Deep South, G Momma knew that family, lots of love, and real “butter” could so as much for your soul as it could for your stomach. She baked each cookie with careful attention and down home ingredients.
Founded in 2009 in a tiny kitchen in Selma, the company has expanded, but stayed true to its roots and consistent with the recipe.
