I just love when my boys reconnect with childhood friends. To me, some of my dearest friend are from my growing up years. Dickey and Scott Harris were buddies most of their early life. They were both GI Joe fanatics. In fact, the two boys had a display at the Magee Library of their GI Joe collection.
Life is fast! And, if you are like me, I’m always in a fast pace mode. Dickey and Scott don’t see much of each other any more. But, both boys ended up at MS State this past weekend and met for tailgating. Scott got to spend time with Dickey’s youngest, Hudson.
When Dickey sent me these pictures, I almost cried. Mercy, the feeling that come inside when you see friends staying friends.
“Make new friends, but keep the old ones…one is silver and the other gold.” Don’t ever forget your roots.
