Friday night brought us more beloved Trojan football as Magee dominated the North Forrest Eagles. Magee’s head coach, Coach Dyess, gave us some insight into how he expected his players to perform, “We’ve had a really good week of practice. I think the kids are responding really well to what we’ve asked them to do this week.” He continues by saying, “North Forrest’s got a good team. We just want to go out and be Magee tonight and be our best selves.”

The first half against the North Forrest Eagles began with our Trojans scoring the first touchdown by #2, Chandler Pittman with Sam Rials, #19, kicking a 36 yard field goal bringing the score to 10-0. Later, Rials was unsuccessful in a 40 yard kick

The second half started with our #26, Caden Bridges, returning a punt from North Forrest and scoring another touchdown for our Trojans bringing the score to 17-0. Magee continued to dominate with Jaylon Langston, #53, intercepting the ball and running for a touchdown. Chandler Pittman scored another touchdown for Magee and the score rose to 30-0. The Eagles finally scored with nearly 9 minutes left before our Trojans Josh Sanders, #1, and Ross McInnis, #5, scored the final two touchdowns bringing the final score to 43-12.

The Magee Marching Band, Varsity Cheerleaders, and our beloved fans kept the momentum going throughout the game. Whenever there was a dull moment on the field, you could look to the stands and sideline for more Trojan energy.

Come out next Thursday night to Trojan Field to support our Trojans against the Mendenhall Tigers during the Simpson County Super Bowl.
