Fredrick B. King, Jr., 76, of Magee, Mississippi, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee. He was born Sunday, May 13, 1945.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Mt. Olive.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Maranatha Baptist Church. The Burial will follow in Maranatha Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Rudy Jackson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mr. Fredrick King was a founding member of Maranatha Baptist Church and also attended Corinth Baptist Church. He was a Boy Scouts Leader of Troop 26 of Mize. He worked most of his life in the construction business being a millwright carpenter. He loved to hunt, fish, and being outdoors. He loved to witness and sing in the nursing homes and prisons. He loved spending time with his family. He owned Burt Small Engine Repair Shop in Magee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred King, Sr and Nealie Merle King; brothers, Tommy King and Joseph King.
Survivors include his children, Elizabeth Stringer of Magee, Paul A. King (Heather) of Mize, and Burt King (Kristi) of Sumrall; grandchildren, Austin King (Ashlynd), Brock King, Aaron Burkett, Summer Burkett, Kaitlin King, and Shelby King; great-grandchild, Jax King; brother, Jerry Wayne King (Gwen) of Erwinville Louisiana; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made to Hillcrest Nursing Home and Maranatha Baptist Church.
