Daniel Ferguson, Director of Simpson County Community Development, alerted the Board of Supervisors of a problem in the state with fraudulent licenses.  Ferguson was made aware of the problem by the State and is carefully checking all licenses.

The March 3, 2025, Simpson County Board of Supervisors meeting was called to order followed by prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.  All supervisors were in attendance.

Chancery Clerk Tim Gray presented the February minutes for approval.  The minutes were approved.

  1. D. Mahaffey Jr. and Michael Warren requested approval for their 16th section leases. The Board approved. A certified copy of filing of The Extension of the Boundaries of the Town of Braxton by the Secretary of State’s office were presented.  The request was approved.

Marsha Bratcher of the Simpson County News asked the Board to approve an advertisement (full page ad) in their upcoming publication.  The matter was approved.

Tax Assessor-Collector Jamie Brewer presented the February surrender tag list.

 

Jeremy Bolton reported on items #8 A-GSheriff Paul Mullins presented the following report:

The board recessed todays meeting till Wednesday at 8am for a bid opening in a chip spreader in the road dept.
