Eugene Franklin “Frank” Gurley, Jr. and his loving and devoted wife, friend and sweetheart, Patricia “Pat” Kelley Gurley began their eternal journey together on October 31, 2018. Frank and Pat were together from the moment they met as childhood friends until their passing. They were natives of Birmingham, AL and both longtime members of the Denham Springs community. Frank taught in the schools of Denham Springs for many years before retiring and Pat worked as a bookkeeper with Manda until retiring. The Gurleys  owned and operated their own business of swimming pools. They will be deeply missed by all who knew them and were touched by their love and friendship. They are survived by their daughter, Jenny Curlee and husband, Chris; son, Scott Gurley; former daughter-in-law, Crystal Gurley; grandchildren, Kyle and Mason Curlee, Gayge Hodges, Alexa Daigle, Taylor Hodges, and Garrett Gurley; the brothers and sisters and spouses that were never thought to be in-laws, Steve Gurley and Chris Gurley and wife, Suzanne, Kathy Kelly, Michael Kelley, Jamie Allelo and husband, Mark, Jodi Burson and husband Robert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. They were preceded in death by their parents, Eugene, Sr. and Jackie Gurley, Ernest Kelley, and Virginia Coke; and brother, Jim Kelley. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will resume on Monday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Gene Amason. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Please share your condolences at www.sealefuneral.com.

In loving memory of Pat Gurley, we have started a fundraising page through Susan B. Komen. She was a breast cancer survivor and was involved in support groups and events after her diagnosis. The family would be honored to have donations made in her memory. The following link will bring you to her donation page:

Thank you,
The Gurley Family
