JACKSON, Miss. – Today State Auditor Shad White announced that Robin Lowe, former Itawamba Community College Honor Society Advisor, has pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement.

Lowe was an advisor to the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor roll society chapter. She converted funds meant to benefit the PTK chapter for her own personal use.

“My team will continue working hand-in-hand with prosecutors to deliver for taxpayers,” said State Auditor Shad White. “This is how we’ve managed to recover more money over the last six years than any other six-year period in the history of the Auditor’s office.”

Lowe was prosecuted in the Itawamba County Circuit Court. Lowe was sentenced to 20 years in prison with 19 years suspended, one year of Intensive Supervision Program (ISP), and $1,511.50 in fines.

Suspected fraud can be reported to the Auditor’s office at any time by clicking the red button at www.osa.ms.gov or calling 1-(800)-321-1275 during normal business hours.
