By James Davis
The Scriptural passage for today is found in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.” We know through God’s Word that the consequences of sin results in death and eternal damnation for the unrepentant, the unbeliever. For the Christian, however, there is eternal life in Christ Jesus from the moment he or she accepts Him as Lord and Savior. Jesus suffered death on the cross so that all mankind might be offered His marvelous gift of salvation. Without it, one faces eternal darkness and separation from God. Let us come into the light, repent daily, and be ever-mindful of our need to pray for daily cleansing and the purging of our transgressions. It is vital for the Christian. Amen!
