The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This is one of the most beloved verses in the BIBLE. For the Christian, it provides assurance of God’s undying love for us. The apostle reminds everyone that God gave the ultimate sacrifice so that all mankind might have the gift of eternal life with Him. It was His love that paid the price for our sins, and it came in the form of Jesus Christ, who gave His life to atone for the sins of the world. All one has to do is to acknowledge his sins, believe and repent, and the gift of salvation is his. Let’s remember that we can love, because He first loved us. Amen!
