On January 18, the kindergarten students celebrated the 100th day of school by releasing balloons with “Flat Stanley” attached to them. Three students have received their “Flat Stanleys” back. The balloons traveled to place from Alabama to Georgia.
IMG_2075Jacovy Hunt’s balloon was found on January 20th in Forkland, Alabama. Forkland is approximately 150 miles from Magee.
Image-1(2)LaPercy Strong’s balloon traveled to Lake, MS. Lake is approximately 53 miles from Magee.
Image-1Bentley Fortenberry’s balloon traveled the farthest, traveling to  Jessup, Georgia. Jessup is approximately 569 miles from Magee.
The students have enjoyed mapping and learning about the different areas their balloons traveled to.
