WESSON – Five Co-Lin athletic programs received National Junior College Athletic Association Academic Team of the Year Honorable Mention recognition for excellence in the classroom for the 2016-2017 seasons.
Co-Lin’s golf team finished the season No. 4 in the nation in the final coaches poll, and added to that success with the fifth best GPA (3.50) in the nation.
The men’s tennis team (3.19), women’s tennis team (3.24), women’s soccer (3.12), and softball team (3.20) also qualified for academic honorable mention, which is awarded to programs that have a grade-point average of at least a 3.0.
The awards follow the Wolves’ 28 individual academic awards that were awarded earlier in the summer.
