Pictured are Mrs. O. L. (Myrtis) Stephens and her mother displaying their catch of the day!

The picture is taken in the ’50s in front of the Magee Courier area.

Mrs. Myrtis is the mother of Mary Joyce Walters. The Stephens family owned and operated a business for years on the corner near the school.

Mother and daughter always enjoyed fishing!

Tod Burnham’s parents were Dr. and Mrs. Victor Burnham. Dr. Burnham’s dental office was located in the building where Dr. Rusty Slover practices. There was no second story on the building during Dr. Burhman’s years. …and June Brown Burnham was the prettiest majorette ever to perform on Trojan Field!

I greatly appreciate Tod and June Burnham sharing the wonderful pictures of my Grandmother Stephens and Great-Grandmother McIntosh. They were two individuals that enjoyed fishing and life!

I’m not sure why we have the photos of your Grandmothers Stan. It’s possible that they were taken by my Father who was also an avid fisherman. His dental office is in the background of the photos. Let me have your mailing address and I will send you the original copies.

I suspect it was your Father who took the pictures for the reasons you indicated. My mailing address is: 235 Old Magee Road, Magee, MS 39111. Once again, thanks so very much for sharing these wonderful photos.
