Making a Difference — One Brush at a Time!

I would like to thank the citizens of Magee for their cooperation during the suspension of all outdoor burning activities recently. Unfavorable environmental conditions had increased the fire danger levels to an unacceptable risk. This caused me to act accordingly, by issuing an alert, & possibly preventing a disastrous situation from occurring. The recent rains have somewhat alleviated the extreme fire danger conditions that were prevalent over the last two weeks, & the suspension will be lifted. However, because of  the abundance of dry &/or dead vegetation prevalent during this this time of the year, all outdoor burning should be done with caution. The danger will increase significantly on windy days with lower humidity values. I will continue to monitor the conditions on a daily basis & act upon it accordingly. Again, thank you for your understanding & your cooperation during these alerts.
