Treasurer Fitch, Senator Branning, and Representatives Bounds and Evans
Invite Neshoba County Residents to Find their Unclaimed Property
Jackson, MS. On Thursday, August 9th, staff from State Treasurer Lynn Fitch’s office will be available at the Neshoba County Library in Philadelphia to help area residents search the State’s unclaimed property list and file claims to their funds.
“Since I took office as Treasurer in January 2012, my office has distributed nearly $84.5 million in unclaimed property,” said Treasurer Fitch. “This represents more than 54% of all the funds distributed through the State unclaimed property program since it began in 1982. We have been so successful thanks to partnerships with local and state elected leaders and I appreciate Senator Branning and Representatives Bounds and Evans working with me to set up this opportunity for Neshoba County residents.”
“There are few better ways to stimulate the economy than to ensure Mississippians have their hard-earned dollars in their own pockets,” said Representative C. Scott Bounds (HD44). “I encourage everyone to check the online listing at www.TreasurerLynnFitch.com to see if the State has money for you. The claims process is simple and easy, especially when you come to the Neshoba County Library to file the paperwork.”
