This ten week adult figure drawing class, part of The Museum School, is led by Mississippi artist Jerrod Partridge. Using live models and artistic exercises derived from traditional academic modes of drawings, participants hone their observational skills and techniques. Partridge’s personalized teaching style and one-on-one instruction makes this class suitable for a broad range of ability levels. The skills taught and honed are fundamental parts of the artistic repertoire for all artists, professional and novice alike. Space is very limited. Cost: $275.
I wanted to let you know that the Spring Figure Drawing session at the Mississippi Museum of Art will begin on Monday, March 21. This 10 week session goes through a series of visual exercises to increase observational awareness and one’s ability to translate that awareness to a two-dimensional surface.
Also, if you happen to be in New Orleans on April 2, Jerrod has a solo show opening at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts.
