FESTIVALSOUTH BEST OF THE PINE BELT 2022

NOMINATIONS OPEN

Now in its 8th year, FestivalSouth’s Best of the Pine Belt competition, sponsored by Signature Magazine, is back! This wildly popular contest kicks off with the nomination phase on Monday, May 3. Nominations for all categories will be accepted from May 3 through Sunday, May 22.

To nominate your favorites, visit festivalsouth.org, click on the best of link, and choose a category and enter your choices. You may nominate once per category per day.

This year’s individual categories will be in seven groups: Beauty, Lifestyle, Retail, Food & Drink, Home, Professional Services, and Special Overall Awards. Special Overall Awards contains several popular categories such as “Most Unique Business,” “Best Place to Work,” and “Best Local Business.”

“The nomination process is crucial to the overall success of the competition,” said Christina Pierce, publisher of Signature Magazine and The Pine Belt News. “The five individuals and business in each category who receive the most nominations will advance as finalists.”

Last year, 413,677 votes were cast to create the annual guide to the Pine Belt’s favorite businesses, people, places, and things that make this area so great. The list of finalists will be featured in the July edition of Signature Magazine, and the list of winners will be featured in the August edition of Signature Magazine. Voting on the finalists will commence on Monday, July 4 and concludes on Sunday, July 24.

Six days later, Saturday, July 30, the James Lynn Cartlidge Multi Purpose Center will buzz with activity as Signature Magazine plays host to the 2nd Annual Best of the Pine Belt Awards gala. Last year’s event was a sellout with 710 finalists, family, friends, and employees in attendance. This year’s event, themed “A 50’s Sock Hop,” promises to be a rocking good evening of dancing, dining, and celebrating the best of the Pine Belt’s businesses and professionals.
