Discussion was held Tuesday night, January 16th at the Magee Board of Alderman meeting concerning applying for the FEMA fire protection grant. Mayor Berry explained he had made a contact to Brad White, chief of staff for Senator Thad Cochran. White told Berry to get all information together and submit the grant. The board voted to pay Kara Kimbrough $500 to write the grant. Kara has written grants for the city in the past. Fire Marshal Charlie Valadie, Deputy Fire Marshal Phillip Magee, and Kara will work together in gathering needed information.
