Faye was the heart of our family-a woman of grace, strength, and quiet faith. She was the beloved wife of Don Duke, with whom she shared a life built on love, laughter, and steadfast devotion. She was a loving mother to Jimbo Nowell (Linda) and the late Danny Nowell, raising her sons with compassion, resilience, and deep-rooted values. Faye’s life centered around family, and she made every holiday, every meal, and every moment something special.

Her role as “Mammaw” was one she treasured most. She was a proud grandmother to Taylor Nowell (Lauralee) and Jordan Blair Nowell. She adored Taylor and Lauralee’s Children- her precious great-grandchildren Lola, Warner, and Sylvia- who brought light and joy to her days. Watching her family grow was one of her life’s greatest blessings.

She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Nowell; father, Hollis Blair;  mother, Pauline  Fortenberry Blair; brother, Will Blair.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years, Donald Duke; son, Jimbo Nowell (Linda); grandchildren, Taylor Nowell (Lauralee), Jordan Nowell, Justin Nowell and Dustin Nowell; great grandchildren, Lola Nowell, Warner Nowell and Sylvia  Nowell; and a host of nieces  and nephews and other family members.
