MHP is investigating a fatal crash in Simpson County.
On Monday morning at 11:28, there was a single vehicle accident on MS 540 east of US 49.
According to Trooper Eric Henry, a 2000 Chevrolet 1500 was driving east bound when the driver lost control in a curve and struck the west bound side of the highway.
The driver, 68-year-old James Smith of Magee, was killed on the scene. Trooper Henry says the accident maybe medical related.
The crash is still under investigation by MHP.
