Fatal Crash on Highway 49 in Magee Claims One Life

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 8, 2025, a fatal accident occurred at approximately 3:50 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 49 North and the Walmart traffic light in Magee.

Authorities confirmed that the driver of one of the vehicles involved, Cory Chancellor of Ellisville, Mississippi, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Magee Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
