Farrell Gates, 68 of Magee, MS passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, Mississippi. He was born Friday, June 26, 1953 in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

 Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall in 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, MS. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall.  Burial will follow in Puckett Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

 He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thara Gates and Debbie Lee Robinson Gates; brother, David Robinson Gates.

 Survivors include his daughter, Renee Capitanelli; three grandchildren; brothers, Wendell Gates of Louisville, MS and Thomas (Toby) Gates of Magee; sisters, Mary Smith of Raleigh, MS and Gail McCann of Brandon, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.

 Pallbearers will be Justin Hayman, Hunter Davis, Mark Boler, William S. Gates, Zachary Lee, and Mark Brown.

 Honorary Pallbearers will be Bradley Jordan and Jason Berry.
