Fannie Ruth Shows, 97 of Florence, MS passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was born Thursday, April 2, 1925 in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.  Burial will follow in Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Brother Ricky Callaway will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Mrs. Shows lived with her husband in Pearl from 1949 to 2009 and after his passing she lived in Florence with her daughter until her death. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great- great-grandmother and sister. She loved to cook for her family every Sunday and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Martin M. Shows;  parents,  Woody and Nola Cooper Jones;  granddaughter, Robin Metcalf;  great grandson, Ryan Vaughn.

Survivors include her son, Ralph Shows (Vicki) of Byram, MS;  daughter, Charlotte Shows Allen (Johnny) of Union, MS;  sisters, Inez Neely of Pearl, MS and Betty Jones Werkau of Biloxi, MS;  grandsons, Michael Shows, Russell Shows, Jimmy Vaughn and Destry Vaughn;  granddaughter, Shantel Passons; 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Russell Shows, Will Vaughn, Hunter Vaughn, Hayden Vaughn, Tracy Passons, and Steve Haskins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Shows.
