Evelyn Dale Buller passed away on September 28, 2024, in Mendenhall, MS. Evelyn was born on June 12, 1943, in Mendenhall to her loving parents, Dale and Gussie Upton.
A proud daughter of Mississippi, Evelyn’s journey was marked by an unwavering commitment to her faith, family, and friends. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi, Evelyn married her Prince Charming, Eldon Buller of Iowa, LA, and together they shared an extraordinary 59 years of marital bliss. Their love for Christ focused their marriage and household on Biblical principles, which bound their lives into a partnership that weathered the many seasons of life with grace and fortitude.
Evelyn was the devoted mother of two children, Vanessa Buller and Adam (Cheri) Buller. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support provided a strong foundation for her children’s endeavors. She was also the proud grandmother to Joshua (Sarah) Buller, Brittany Roy, Elyse (Collin) Abdallah, Ethan (Adi) Roy, and Austin Roy. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Evelyn’s legacy extends to her great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Murray, Rowan, and Baby Roy (Ethan and Adi). She is survived by her two sisters, Neta (Howard) Black and Sarah (Phil) Chance.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Gussie Upton, and twin baby brothers.
While we mourn Evelyn’s loss, we also celebrate a life well lived. Her legacy of love, compassion, and spunkiness will continue to inspire all fortunate enough to know her.
A graveside service to honor Evelyn’s life will be held at noon on Saturday, October 5, at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
