Eva was one of the first employees of the Universal Manufacturing Plant in Mendenhall prior to being employed with the State of Mississippi New Sight Industries as a supervisor. She was an active member of Athens Baptist Church in Mendenhall, until her health would no longer allow.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.H. Hinton, Jr. and siblings, Travis May, Grady May, Tillman May and Phenia Johnson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a son, Phil Hinton and his wife, Susan; daughters, Marilyn Rutland, Joyce May, Sandra Prestwood and her husband, Steve; a brother, Curvin May and his wife, Sue; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the service immediately following at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. Brother Joey Rankin, nephew and Brother John Coleman will officiate. Interment will follow at Athens Cemetery in Mendenhall.
