Eugie Larry Palmer, 84 of Mendenhall, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at MS Care Center in Raleigh, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, April 10, 1938, in Mendenhall, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church at 2021 Simpson Hwy 540, Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Kennedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Wade Mathis and Bro. Mike West will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Mr. Larry was a member of Kennedy Springs Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, step-father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed working in his garden, working on his farm, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Allen Palmer; step-sons, Harry Cole of Mendenhall, MS and Robert Cole; mother, Alice Palmer Tucker; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his three granddaughters, Becky Cole Freeman (Jamie) of Mendenhall, MS, Beth Cole Overby of Magee, MS and Alice Cole Stokes (Gregory) of Mendenhall, MS; three great-grandchildren, Kevin Freeman (Macy) of Mendenhall, MS, James Freeman (Bethaney) of Mendenhall, MS and Dalton Freeman (Katelyn) of Mendenhall, MS; numerous great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ricky May of Mize, MS and Donald May of Mendenhall, MS; one sister, Frankie Clark of Mendenhall, MS; two daughter-in-law’s, Faye Cole of Mendenhall, MS and Ellen Parrett Cole of Magee, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Freeman, Whit Mangum, Greg Stokes, James Smith, Ricky May, and Kevin Freeman.
