Emma Scoggins, a 6th grader at Simpson Academy, placed 1st in the Overall MAIS Spelling Bee held at the Muse Center at Hinds Community College in Raymond.
Emma is the daughter of Andy and Kaci Scoggins; the granddaughter of Jimmy and Dianne Kennean, Jimmy and Janet Knotts, and Mac and Linda Scoggins.
