Elsie Ann Stubbs Maddox, 85 of Magee, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born on Tuesday, January 11, 1938, in Simpson County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Sharon Presbyterian Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Chris Garcia will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
She was a member of Magee Congregational Methodist Church in Magee, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies, decorating her house, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Ray Maddox; son, Ronnie P. Maddox; daughter, Debbie Clein; father, A.W. Stubbs; mother, Mattie Mae Brown Stubbs; and brother, John Stubbs.
Survivors include her six grandchildren, Brandi Maddox Kimes (Patrick) of Mount Juliet, TN, Brian Sutton of Fayetteville, AR, Taylor Clein (Angel DeCaro) of Magee, MS, Zachary Clein of PA, Jennifer Maddox (Kirk) of TX and Chad Maddox (Misty) of GA; nine great-grandchildren, Ethan Kimes of Mount Juliet, TN, Maddox Kimes of Mount Juliet, TN, Brianna Kimes of Mount Juliet, TN, Nolan Clein of Magee, MS, Will Morrow of TX, Jack Morrow of TX, Jonathan Sutton of MA, Lucas Maddox of GA, and Christopher Sutton of MA; four sisters, Elliott Lee Stubbs Holbrook (James) of Magee, MS, Bobbie Stubbs Crawford (Gene) of Magee, MS, Nell Stubbs Walker (Jerry) of Magee, MS and Shelia Stubbs White (Larry) of Magee, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Kimes, Ethan Kimes, Taylor Clein, Jerry Walker, David Holbrook, and Gene Crawford.
