Elois Tanner Womack, 90, of Puckett, Mississippi, passed her from earthly home to her heavenly home surrounded by her children on Monday, March 8, 2021, at Miss Care Center in Morton, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, November 1, 1930, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at County Line Baptist Church in Puckett, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at County Line Baptist Church. The burial will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Mickey Ferguson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401
Mrs. Womack was a member of County Line Baptist Church of Puckett, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was an avid NBA fan and watched every NBA game regardless of when it originally aired. She worked for thirty years with FW Williams State Agency. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Zachary Taylor Womack; parents, Ocie Tanner and Mae Posey Tanner; one brother, Dan Tanner; three sisters, Doris Turnbow, Virginia Little, and Mary Hesta Rasberry; one great-grandson, Miles Taylor Culver; and her son-in-law, Kevin Spong.
Survivors include her son, Wendell Taylor Womack and his wife, Pam, of Louisville; her daughter, Sherri Womack Spong of Puckett; six grandchildren, Wendi Culver and husband, Chris, Zach Stover, Taylor Womack, Holly Taylor and husband, Andy, Dana Rankin and husband, Joal, and Amy Ellzy and husband, Richie; six great-grandchildren, Gibson Culver, Bailee Taylor, Ben Taylor, Beckett Ellzy, Easton Rankin, and Gray Rankin; one brother, John Wesley “Buddy” Tanner and wife Shirley of Bush, LA; special friend, Tootsie Purvis; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Steve Roberts, Bob Benton III, Ray Williams, Cliff Little, Ty Palmer, and Rudy Vanderford.
