 The candidates include:

·       Hillary Clinton, Democratic Party;

·       Donald J. Trump, Republican Party;

·       Darrell Castle, Constitution Party;

·       Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente, American Delta Party;

·       Jim Hedges, Prohibition Party;

·       Gary Johnson, Libertarian Party;

·       Jill Stein, Green Party; and

·       Barbara Dale Washer, Reform Party.

All of the candidates filed a Certificate of Nomination and a List of Presidential Electors with the Secretary of State’s Office.  Additionally, all except Washer paid a $2,500 qualifying fee.  Washer did not pay the qualifying fee because she filed her papers before the effective date of the statute requiring the fee to be paid.

The deadline to submit the fee and other required information was 5 p.m. today, September 9, 2016.  To view other qualifying candidates, including candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, non-partisan judicial candidates, and candidates for two State House seats, click here.

The State Board of Election Commissioners will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, in the 19th Floor Conference Room at the Walter Sillers State Office Building located at 550 High Street, Jackson, Mississippi, to consider and certify candidates for the General Election ballot.  Statutory members of the Board include Governor Phil Bryant, Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann, and Attorney General Jim Hood.
