Treasurer Fitch also announced the next opportunity for Mississippi residents to win MACS scholarships, at the MHSAA State Football Championships in Oxford, Mississippi on December 1 and 2, 2017.

“Every dollar saved is a dollar less that you may have to borrow to help your children get a college degree,” said Treasurer Fitch, Chair of the College Savings Mississippi Board. “We are pleased to be able to offer scholarship opportunities throughout the year to help Mississippians save for their children’s future. These events are also great opportunities to remind people that it is never too early or too late to save for the future.”
College Savings Mississippi is the official halftime sponsor for all six of the MHSAA football championship games and will host a tuition toss during each halftime. The winner of each will take home a $529 MACS scholarship.

Individuals can register at the games at the College Savings Mississippi table. Complete rules for the 2017 College Savings Mississippi MHSAA Tuition Toss can be found now at https://www.treasurerlynnfitch.ms.gov/collegesavingsmississippi/Pages/Events.aspx.
