(January 17, 1947 – March 9, 2023)

            Edgar Morris Conn, 76 of Summit, Mississippi, (formally of Taylorsville) passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at SW MS Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi. He was born on Friday, January 17, 1947, in Jackson, Mississippi.

            Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 113 Front Street, Taylorsville, Mississippi.

            A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Bro. Jerry Rowley, Jr. will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

            Mr. Edgar was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend.  He worked for Georgia Pacific for eighteen years and then retired from Boswell as a Director of Activities.  He enjoyed spending time in the woods hunting, wood work, estate sells, and most of all spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

            He was preceded in death by his first wife the mother of his children, Sandra Lynn Byrd Conn; father, Dan Kelly Conn; and mother, Virginia Doris Ainsworth Conn.

            Survivors include his wife, Vickie M. McCullough Conn of Summit, MS; three sons, Chris Conn (Teresa) of Mize, MS, Charlie Bean (Dawn) of Tupelo, MS and Reb Bean (Candace) of Huntsville, AL;  two daughters, Deon Conn Garris (Steve) of Taylorsville, MS and Rachel McKenzie (Tommy) of McComb, MS; twelve grandchildren, Austin Conn (Payton) of Brandon, MS, Zachary Conn (Laylee Burchell) of Brandon, MS, Dalton Garris (Anne Claire Meador) of Dallas, TX, Ashlynn Garris of Taylorsville, MS, Elliot McKenzie (Mallory) of Flowood, MS, Truett McKenzie of Flowood, MS, Jack McKenzie of Flowood, MS, Kate McKenzie of McComb, MS, Emma Taylor Bean of Tupelo, MS, Madison Bean of Huntsville, MS, Miles Bean of Huntsville, MS, Harrison Bean of Tupelo, MS; two great-grandchildren, Asher Conn of Brandon, MS and Mason McKenzie of Flowood, MS; two brothers, Stanley Conn (Shelly) of Cleveland, TX and Danny Conn (Sandy) of Bernice, LA; one sister, Ann Conn Landrum of Mize, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.

            Pallbearers will be Austin Conn, Zachary Conn, Gerald Chisholm, Edwin Byrd, Dalton Scales, and Dalton Garris.

            Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Garris.
