National Hospital Week Festivities were held across the country this week May 6-12, 2018.  This year’s national theme was “Caring is our Calling”.   To work in the medical field whether it is “hands on”  with patients or if you work as I, “behind the scenes” we are all called to care.   I honestly believe, if we are called at what we do then it is not a job…it is an honor and blessing.

Magee General Hospital had a week filled with activities for their employees.

Monday morning began with donuts followed by cake and punch on Tuesday provided by Restorix Wound Care.   Hillcrest Nursing Center furnished donuts on Wednesday for hospital employees.  Ice Cream along with various toppings were enjoyed by hospital staff on Thursday afternoon.

To end the week on Friday, Leonard Williams and his helpers, the Maintenance guys, cranked up the grill for some hamburgers and sausage dogs.  The fixings were provided by the MGH Dietary Department.

Many gathered at 1pm for the service pins ceremony and the big announcement that everyone looks forward too…the Employee of the Year.
