Early Morning Accident Claims Lives of Teenagers

Simpson County residents were saddened early Friday morning, February 12, 2021 when a vehicle occupying four teenagers was hit head on by another vehicle. The students were in route to Mendenhall High School.

Sadly to report, two students from Mendenhall High School were killed and two other students were injured and transported to local hospital.

Grief counselors were sent to Mendenhall High School from Region 8, Mendenhall Elementary, Simpson Central and The Simpson County Career and Technical Center.  These counselors along with Mendenhall High School Counselors were present to assist students and staff as needed.
